If you live in America, you take for granted your right to print your opinions and spread your ideas to others; in other parts of the world, this basic right is not a given. China has censored Google results and thus proved that ‘freedom of the press’ is not free world wide. How is a person supposed to overcome the ‘big brother’ in their neighborhood? I have discovered one tool that is pretty nifty. The program is called Tor, for ‘The Onion Router.’ This download-able program takes one’s web traffic and sends it through other computers on the network. This layering of the transmission prevents an outside party from following the path from start to finish. The spy would still be able to tell if you were connecting to the Internet, but they would not be able to follow what the initiator is doing online. For example, if I am person ‘a’ and I am trying to reach source ‘x,’ my signal goes through person ‘b,c, and d’ and then reaches x. The spy would would only see that I went online, but not that I retrieved source x as the signal was routed through other computers. To track someone online, the spy needs to see both ends of the transmission; with Tor, intermediate users help provide online anonymity by layering the users activity. Emmanuel Nethala sent New Life From Heaven an e-mail note about the needs of his ministry. Please consider helping out this great organization. The e-mail is reproduced below:
Dear New Life From Heaven,
Greetings to you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Hope and truest that you are keeping in good and sound health. We are also keeping fine by the grace of our Lord.
Children are back home after their schooling. Summer Vacation started. The summer is extremely uncomfortable because of heat. Since the children are on vacation, we are planning to conduct VBS Classes for children this year also for 2 weeks. My children and few teachers I will hire and conduct for 200 children. Our children will teach them new Christian songs, stories and fill up the Bible lessons. Since the children will be coming from distant places, we need to provide them mid-day meals (Lunch). We also need to provide the children VBS Kits(200) pens, colors, etc. We need to buy them. We will have to give them Certificates also.
Again the new academic year 2008-2009 will begin in June, Children will be getting ready to go to schools at which time we have to provide them text books, note books, compass boxes, other stationery, uniform, etc. If God helps us we can admit some more Orphan Children into our Orphanage. Please pray for these needs, all the children have passed and they will be upgraded and all of them are thankful to you for your great help and support in their existence.
I look forward for your blessings of prayer. The cost of living has increased 10 times. Every commodity has become expensive. Please remember this in your prayer.
Please continue to pray for the completion of the Widows Home in Mogalthur. Thank you for all your help. We are praying for you and please pray us. Thank you,

This is a guest post by Tony Bernhoffer. The following is a short biographical sketch he provided me in an e-mail:
“My former high school was St. Francis de Sales at 2323 W. Bancroft Street, Toledo, Ohio. Most of the people in my class of 1977 went on to college. I went into the Army because of family problems. My dad drank and he was a violent man. I did go on the college because of the Economic Depression of 1979. And I dropped out of grad school because of personal problems and government harassment over a former girfriend in high school and my federal civil service application. They did give me a 92.0 for a GS-7 job rating in Chemistry back then. But they declined their offer. And when I returned to Toledo, I was too sick to work-I had a nervous breakdown and did not realize it. Now I have been disabled since 1988. Bible study and reading Christian books has been useful to me. And even a letter counselor at INSIGHT FOR LIVING once wrote me that reading Christian books could improve my mental stability. But being persecuted by antichristian people in Toledo kind of undoes the peace and mental stability that the Bible should provide. I had heard a tape recording at the Chrsitian Servicemen’s Center in Edgweood, MD in which a former member of the Illuminattii had called Toledo, Ohio and Toledo, Spain underground occult capitals. I did not really believe it at the time-but these past 20 years have shown me different. (They had an Army of Air Force major visiting the Center in 1977 and he was an officer at a radar station in Turkey. I would tend to believe that tape was legit.)”
Here is a cathartic poem that Tony asked me to put on my blog:
DEATH by TONY BERNHOFFER
My dad sits at home dying of cancer,
Twelve years ago I was dying of a broken heart,
Thinking about what relief death would bring.
I can only tell him that twelve years ago I wished I was dead.
I tell him to believe that Jesus Christ died for his sins
And he will go to Heaven.
Twelve years ago, my wife left me,
Pretty young women only teased me.
If I were dying of cancer twelve years ago,
I would not have fought it.
Death would have brought me peace
Because, after all, you cannot flog a corpse!
Maybe for the man who has been saved by faith,
Death will bring more freedom than you can believe.
